Silchester Country Fayre - Saturday, 5th September 2026

Last year, a lovely friend told me about the Silchester Country Fayre and, finding myself at a loose end on a very hot day, my husband and I decided to take the children along and see what it was all about.

I was so impressed! There were so many lovely stalls selling a whole array of beautiful goods - not to mention the endless irresistible food, treats and rides for the children.

I remember sitting on the grass in the sun towards the end of our visit, the children tucking into huge chocolate covered strawberries, and thinking, 'maybe next year I could have a stall here myself'. I'm not sure if I really believed at the time that I could actually do it... I had only been selling my jewellery for a few months and certainly didn't have enough to fill a display table! But... fast forward six months (it's April as I'm writing this and I've just had my application approved!) and I'M DOING IT!
